The entire process for movement of materials or information from raw materials (or raw data) through to finished product supplied to the final customer. For physical goods, the supply chain encompasses procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and transport. For transactional and service processes, the supply chain is all the process steps from start to finish across all organizations if more than one is involved.
