A Why-Why Diagram. A logic diagram analyzing the causes of problems (undesirable effects). A more rigorous alternative to the Cause-and-Effect Fishbone/Ishikawa Diagram. In the Logic Tree, the problem/UDE is written at the left or top of a large sheet of paper. The potential causes of the effect are then added, branching into more detail until root causes are found and solutions can be proposed. Essentially, the same as a 5-Whys Diagram which shows the branching logic of asking Why repeatedly where there is more than one cause for each Why.
